CHAS Original Interview with Dr. Stacy Lindau
The Center for Health Administration Studies (CHAS) is pleased to offer CHAS Original Interviews, podcasts which highlight multidisciplinary innovations in health policy, health and social service integration, health access, cost and quality, behavioral health, global health, and preventive intervention.
In this first episode, CHAS Communications Specialist Jordan Dobrowski interviews Stacy Tessler Lindau, MD, MA. Dr. Lindau is a professor and practicing physician at UChicago Medicine and also the founder and chief innovation officer of a new social impact company called NowPow. You’ll hear them discuss the importance of community asset mapping, medical integration with social sciences, and youth involvement as Dr. Lindau details some of the successes of NowPow and its brief history.
“For the most part, we know that what determines health is not largely the prescription drugs we take, it’s everything else we do. It’s where we live. It’s how we live. It’s how we work and learn and play.”
