Center for Hospital and Healthcare Administration History

Did you realize that the AHA Resource Center is in Chicago?  It houses the Center that chronicles the history of hospitals and healthcare administration, with special emphasis on the United States. A historical collection, an oral history program, a photographic collection, collections of archival materials, and other items of particular historical value to the field are maintained and made available for use.

Engaged State Health Reform Research Network

Under the direction of Professor Colleen Grogan and with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, an Engaged State Health Reform Research Network is being developed to bring together people from different backgrounds (practitioners, stakeholders and researchers) involved in state-level health reform implementation to inform, leverage, and extend the state health reform. While there are numerous state-level research projects on ACA implementation, these efforts are fragmented by geographic and substantive scope. There is no consistent platform to assess progress across the 50 states and to compare and, where appropriate, integrate disparate findings. This integration of findings and experiences is necessary for diffusing ideas and practices in order to influence other states and to encourage timely implementation across states.  Check out some data sources of possible interest:
