2023 University of Chicago-Sciences Po Workshop on Health Policy and Reform -Hyde Park campus (Chicago, IL)
The Center for Health Administration Studies (CHAS) has developed a scientific exchange in the form of an international workshop series on the global transformation of health care institutions, systems and policy. On September 21-22, 2023, University of Chicago faculty members met with French researchers from Sciences Po, on The University of Chicago’s main campus in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, to share their most recent and cutting edge work in a deliberately comparative and collaborative context toward the goal of knowledge growth and policy innovation. The focus of this University of Chicago/CHAS Workshop on Health Policy Innovation and Reform is to bring together on a regular basis health policy researchers and scholars, from the US and France, to share – in a comparative and collaborative context – their most recent work in areas central to understanding health innovation and reform across political contexts. Topics addressed in this year’s 2023 Health Policy Innovation and Reform Workshop, held in Chicago, included the financialization of the French health, territorialization programs in France, associations in male gender expression with cardiovascular disease risk awareness, and governmental & professional actors in the rise of primary care policies in France. Representatives from the Consulate of France in Chicago were in attendance throughout the workshop to discuss such comparative topics. For more information on the workshop series, please refer to the CHAS website.
